Babysitting the DeGraffenrieds

So may I just say 6 little children in one house sure know how to make a mess in a few split seconds! But we had lots of fun doing it! And now that I am writing this I wish I would have taken pictures... Well, you win some you lose some.. we  started out the night making our own personal pizzas Brooklyn made hers look like a flower, Noah made his a jack 'o lantern, Anna made a mountain of olives with another mountain on top made of cheese :) it was probably 3 inches tall  haha, and Maycee would put a few olives on then eat them, put a few more on then eat them, and so on... Anyways while they cooked we watched "MegaMind" and continued watching while we ate. After we ate we went to the basement and attempted to make a huge fort out of cardboard and duct tape but apparently duct tape is not strong enough to hang cardboard from the ceiling so instead we made a "Human Spider Alien" (in Noah's words) and a tunnel with a tower on top... Well, cardboard and duct tape can only be fun for so long, so, we went back upstairs. We realized when we went upstairs that we had left some pizza in the oven(when I say we I  mean me) they were just about cooked to ashes...oops :) oh well. We then played "Sardines" which is kinda hard when the kids are too scared to wander off by themselves but it was still fun.. and surprisingly Chloe and Maycee actually had fun playing in the dark with us :).. We are so grateful for those kids they bring a lot of joy into our lives.. Anyway it was a fun night and Noah I am sorry Maycee ripped all the pages out of your little notebook.

Motherhood for me

I always wonder if I can be better..Don't we all :) Some days I feel like all I do is change poopy diapers and clean up mess after mess! Then at the end of the day there is still piles of laundry and a sink full of dirty dishes! The next day seems to be going better..until nap time, kids wont take a nap for one reason or another. So I end up holding at least one kid for the majority of the day(sometimes it is both). Part of me really enjoys these days because they will let me hold them, but it is really hard to get anything done. I am not a "Super Mom" like a lot of moms that I know, so that day comes to an end with laundry still to fold and even more dishes then the day before...but, I choose to snuggle up on the coach with my husband and watch a movie :). I will clean tomorrow. Morning comes way to soon the kids decide to sleep in so I get an extra long shower:) The morning goes smoothly, both kids are more than happy to take naps today. Ah. I get the laundry folded and all the dishes done and have time to get dinner started early..Now if only every day could go that smoothly ha ha if only I was that lucky! Yes I complain sometimes and yes I get exhausted. Like I said before I am not a "Super Mom". I would never ever change anything though. Being a mom is my dream come true! I love my kiddos with all of my heart and although I may not be perfect I love being a mom. Maybe some day I can be a "Super Mom" :) until that day I will just be the best I can!

Morning after...

What a perfect night for Halloween! The weather was great, you didn't even need a jacket!
We have made it a tradition in the Bowman family to make doughnuts on Halloween to hand out to all of our friends that come trick or treating. Ok ok we mostly make them so that we can eat them ha ha ha, but we decided it would be nice to share them too.
I got the kids ready and headed over to grandma and grandpa's. Maycee made the prettiest Snow White and Samuel was my cute little Jack 'o Lantern..Eric had class so he came when he got home.
We made it just in time to help grandma cut out some doughnuts...Maycee was such a big help ha ha trying to grab and squish all of the doughnuts that were trying to rise on the table, and sitting right at our feet playing with her babies.. and Samuel took a nap :)
Grandpa got home from work and didn't hesitate to start cooking up the doughnuts. I don't know about you, but I love the smell of cooking doughnuts! Grandma took her place at the table and began glazing.
Eric came over just in time to taste the first batch. I think he ate 6 in about 15 seconds :)
DeGraffenrieds  showed up shortly after with Brooklyn as a witch,
Noah as Batman, Anna as a princess, and little Chloe as a lion.
Maycee was scared to death of Noah's mask, she wouldn't go anywhere near him.
We then took some doughnuts to Charles and Melissa in Payson and only visited for a bit because we had tired kids that were sooo ready for bed.
Anyway that is our night I will upload pics later because they are on my moms camera.
